ROLL CALL Len Pilak, Greg Burmeister, Tom Kies, Karl Hoeppner, Larry Schweitzer excused. Tom Zagar, staff. APPROVAL OF MINUTES July 22, 2021 Tom motioned to approve, Karl 2nd, carried by all. VOUCHER APPROVAL none UNFINISHED BUSINESS 1. Current status of lake (water levels, ice, fish and wildlife). --- Tom K and Len said weeds are not a problem in Bass Bay, fewer weeds and fairly clear water. Karl stated that Phragmites is greening up near his home and questioned the efficacy of the spraying last year. Removal of cattail bogs from the debris barrier at the dam channel entrance was discussed. It would take a day or 2 of effort to be arranged with DPW. Greg had concerns about disposal of speared carp which had been a problem on Little Muskego Lake. 2. Discuss DNR cattail burn plans. No update. 3. Future project ideas. Since weed treatment costs were low for the year - possible District funding for follow up phragmites control. NEW BUSINESS 1. Discuss partial funding city payroll of staff for hours associated lake functions (aquatic plant assessment and control, permit applications, contractor coordination, etc.). This idea was acceptable. Tom K moved to endorse this change in budget, Greg 2nd, carried by all. COMMUNICATIONS AND ANY OTHER BUSINESS AS AUTHORIZED BY LAW ADJOURNMENT Len moved to adjourn, Tom K 2nd, and carried.
