Alderman Dennis Decker and Tom Zagar (staff) also present. CALL TO ORDER Len called to order at 4:31 pm PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE All recited pledge. APPROVAL OF MINUTES second, carried by all Larry moved to approve minutes of January 23, 2024 meeting, Tom K VOUCHER APPROVAL none UNFINISHED BUSINESS 1. Current status of lake (water levels, ice, fish and wildlife). Greg commented lake is good shape in that aquatic plants are not much of a nuisance. 54 geese were removed from Bass Bay this year. Three osprey nests were active this year. One active platform fell in mid -June (had been chewed at base of pole by beavers) and lost their brood of young. Three ospreys were fitted with satellite (GPS) telemetry this year by Bill Stout. 2. Discuss DNR land acquisition. In early 2024, City of Muskego and Lake District assisted in approximately half purchase price of a 30-acre addition to Big Muskego Lake Wildlife Area. Land is contiguous to other DNR lands as well as Sandhill Park. 3. Future project ideas. See #2 below. NEW BUSINESS Discuss replacement of ATV. The Polaris "Big Boss" six -wheel ATV is over 25 years old and is in a run-down condition. Price of replacement is approximately$15K. Tom K recommended requesting budget to replace it, Karl second, motion carried. 2. Replacement of osprey platforms and posts. Tom Kies recommended that Tom Z look into getting posts and platforms replaced. Bill Stout 3. Recommend budget. No changes to budget other than #1 above.
