UNFINISHED BUSINESS
1. Current status of lake (water levels, ice, fish and wildlife).
Greg commented lake is good shape in that aquatic plants are not much of a nuisance. 54 geese
were removed from Bass Bay this year. Three osprey nests were active this year. One active
platform fell in mid -June (had been chewed at base of pole by beavers) and lost their brood of
young. Three ospreys were fitted with satellite (GPS) telemetry this year by Bill Stout.
2. Discuss DNR land acquisition.
In early 2024, City of Muskego and Lake District assisted in approximately half purchase price of
a 30-acre addition to Big Muskego Lake Wildlife Area. Land is contiguous to other DNR lands as
well as Sandhill Park.
3. Future project ideas.
See #2 below.
NEW BUSINESS
Discuss replacement of ATV.
The Polaris "Big Boss" six -wheel ATV is over 25 years old and is in a run-down condition. Price
of replacement is approximately$15K. Tom K recommended requesting budget to replace it,
Karl second, motion carried.
2. Replacement of osprey platforms and posts.
