Mayor Petfalski called the meeting to order at 5:55 pm.

The Pledge of Allegiance was recited prior at the beginning of the Finance Committee Meeting.
ROLL CALL
Present: Chairman Petfalski, Commissioners Wolfe, Hammel, Kapusta, Schroeder, Kubacki, and
Madden. Absent: Commissioner Terrence
Also Present: Deputy Commissioners Pilak, Kies, Schweitzer, Burmeister, and Hoeppner; City Attorney
Warchol, Public Works & Development Director Kroeger, Finance & Administrative Director Mueller,
Assistant Finance & Administrative Director Mustapich, Library Director Larson, Police Chief Westphal,
and Assistant Deputy Clerk -Treasurer Crisp
STATEMENT OF PUBLIC NOTICE
Assistant Deputy Clerk -Treasurer Crisp stated the meeting was noticed in accordance with the open
meeting law.
APPROVAL OF MINUTES
May 23, 2023
Commissioner Kubacki moved to approve the May 23, 2023 Minutes. Commissioner Madden
seconded; motion carried.

NEW BUSINESS
Election of Secretary and Treasurer
Commissioner Kubacki moved to elect City Clerk as Secretary and Director of Finance and
Administration as Treasurer for Big Muskego Lake District; Commissioner Schroeder seconded. Motion
passed.
Deputy Commissioner's Update - Current Condition of Lake/Bay, Water Levels, Plant Growth, Fish and
Wildlife.
Deputy Commissioner Burmeister stated that the water is finally up to the top of the dam. The water is
also very clear with very few weeds. This summer, the water level was down 8" this summer which
caused problems for boats; the weeds were also bad. There were many areas of the lake that had no
more than 8" of water. The boating that took off this summer was kayaking; there were times when
there were 20-30 person groups through the recreation department. Duck hunting is in full force now.
There are lots of birds and fish.

Commissioner Kubacki moved to approve Resolution #001-2023 - Approval of Financial Participation in
a Conservation Land Acquisition (Northeast of Big Muskego Lake State Wildlife Area); Commissioner
Schroeder seconded. Motion passed.
