Following conclusion of consideration of the above portion of its regularly scheduled agenda, the Police and
Fire Commission will meet to vote on a motion to convene in Closed Session for the purpose
Of the following matters:
1. John R. LaPlante V. City of Muskego, et al, Eastern District of Wisconsin Case No. 24-CV-215. Update
status by Chief of Police and City Attorney.
2. Discussion relating to ongoing investigation of fatal traffic crash occurring on July 28, 2024, in the City of
New Berlin, Wisconsin.
3. Policy of handling an unfounded complaint filed against a police officer by a member of the public.
A closed session for the above purposes is authorized pursuant to the provisions of Wisconsin State Statute,
Section 19.85(1)(g). Conferring with legal counsel for the governmental body who is rendering oral or written
advice concerning strategy to be adopted by the body with respect to litigation in which it is or is likely to
become involved; and
Wisconsin State Statute Section 19.85(1)(c), considering employment, promotion, compensation, or
performance evaluation data of any public employee over which the governmental body has jurisdiction or
exercises responsibility.
Upon conclusion of the Closed Session, the Police and Fire Commission will convene in Open Session to
consider its public agenda, including motions to recommend approval or rejection of the above -listed
deliberations or any of the public agenda items that have not been acted upon.
