RLO19950209• RULES, LAWS 6 ORDINANCE COMMITTEE - CITY OF MUSKEGO MINUTES OF MEETING HELD THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 9, 1995 The meeting was called to order at 8:21 P.M. by Chairman Taube. Also present were Committee Members Misko and Woodard, Mayor De Angelis, Chief Johnson and those per the attached list. The Committee noted that the meeting was posted on 2/3/95 in accordance with the Open Meeting Law. The Committee reviewed with Plan Director Sadowski the proposed amendments to the Sign Ordinance. (3) DEFINITIONS AND ABBREVIATIONS (3) (c) Banner. Change last line to read "Section 6.09(13)(b) Temporary Signs having a quarterly review to determine compliance. (3) (s) Change "associated sign square footage to read, "associated sign face square footage". (4) 1.) Change Section (8)(b)3. to read "Section (4)(c) and change sentence to read "issued by the • Plan Commission, Planning Official, and Building Official. (5)(c) Roof Signs: Change the word "surface" in the last sentence to "parapet". (6)(0) Add "of a professional quality" after "Rigid Signs" (7) Second sentence should read, "Disrepair is defined as a sign with one or more of the following traits: excessive pealing paint, eroding message(s), dead landscaping (in season), missing pieces (access doors, excessive masonry, decay, etc.)" The Committee agreed with the above changes and requested Plan Director Sadowski to propose language to be added as #14 which would give the Plan Director latitude in changing existing signs without the item necessarily going through the Plan Commission. The final draft will be reviewed at the March meeting. The Committee discussed proposed licensing for Taxi Service for the Elderly and reviewed ordinance received from the City of Waukesha. The Committee requests that the City Attorney give an opinion as to whether or not a separate ordinance is needed and also to have staff poll other municipalities in Waukesha County. • RULES, LAWS 6 ORDINANCE COMMITTEE - PAGE 2 FEBRUARY 9, 1995 The Committee discussed proposed revisions to Chapter 7 of the Traffic Code as proposed by Chief Johnson.
