MINUTES OF MEETING HELD JULY 9, 1992
The meeting was called to order at 8:00 P.M. by Chairman
Taube. Also present were Committee Member Dumke, Ald. Sanders,
Ald. Schneider, Ald. Misko, Mayor Salentine and those per the
attached list.
The Committee continued discussion on proposed Potbellied Pig
Ordinance. Ald. Dumke moved to table proposed ordinance.
Seconded by Ald. Taube, motion carried.
Ald. Misko appeared before the Committee to discuss the present
Sign ordinance. The Committee discussed the possibility of
lower the percentage of wall area from 5% to 3% and also
putting a time restriction for time signs to be turned off at
11:00 P.M. or one hour after closing of establishment. The
Committee will continue discussion at the August meeting.
Mr. Brent Ryan, Morton Builders, appeared before the Committee
to give a presentation on wood frame structures. Ald. Misko
and Ald. Schneider voice their concern with No. 6 of the
Industrial Park Rules & Regulations and indicated that they are
going to sponsor a resolution clarifying the materials that can
• be substituted for masonry. The aldermen present were not
happy with the recent Plan Commission decision.
The Committee reviewed correspondence from City Attorney
regarding Ald. Taube's concern with purchasing other than
American -made products. It was noted that the City Clerk has
contacted the League of Municipalities and awaiting an opinion.
