MINUTES OF MEETING HELD AUGUST B, 1991
The meeting was called to order at 9:05 P.M. by Chairman H.
Sanders. Also present was Committee Member Taube. Committee
Member Patterson was absent.
The Committee discussed elimination of Chapter 15, Section 15.12
which refers to Electrical License Examining Board. Ald. Taube
moved to defer as the Electrical Inspector is presently reviewing
all of Chapter 15 and will provide a report for the September
meeting on any additional proposed amendments. Seconded by Ald.
H. Sanders, motion carried.
The Committee reviewed proposed amendment to Chapter 20, Section
20.01 of the Municipal Code to adopt all of Chapter 30 of the
State Statutes. The City has previously adopted certain sections
of Chapter 30 and by doing so, there is no provision for the City
to automatically adopt new laws passed by the legislature, making
them enforceable under municipal ordinance. Ald. Taube moved to
defer in order to obtain more information. Seconded by Ald. H.
Sanders, motion carried.
