Kramer, and those per the attached list.
The Committee further discussed the proposed ordinance on
Abatement of Public Nuisances. Ald. H. Sanders moved to
recommend approval with the addition to require that 10-day
warning tickets will be necessary in all cases except when the
violator has received a 10-day warning ticket for the same or
similar nuisance within the preceding 12 month period. Seconded
by Ald Patterson, motion carried.

Development attend the August Public Safety Committee meeting to

requests that the Clerk send out a survey to other counties in
southeastern Wisconsin.
• Fire Chief Pickart, Fire Chief Kramer, and Lt. John Daly appeared
before the committee to discuss the present Fireworks
Ordinance. The Fire Chiefs discussed fire hazards resulting from
use of fireworks and requested that the City stop issuing
fireworks permits. Lt. Daly spoke about problems enforcing
fireworks sales from roadside stands. After discussion, it was
suggested that the ordinance be changed so that no "Class C"
fireworks are allowed for sale in the fireworks stand and that if
illegal fireworks are confiscated by the Police Department, that
the stand be closed down and all merchandise be confiscated and
destroyed, and to explore a fee structure which would reimburse
the police for time involved in monitoring roadside stands. Ald.
Patterson moved to modify existing ordinance to incorporate
above. Seconded by Ald. H. Sanders, motion carried. The
Committee requests that the City Attorney advise if all
merchandise can be confiscated and destroyed.
The meeting adjourned at 9:55 P.M.
