MEETING HELD
JUNE 7, 1990
The meeting was called to order at 7:00 P.M. by Chairman H.
Sanders. Also present were Committee Members Patterson and
Taube.
Ald. Patterson moved to defer discussion on proposed Abatement of
Public Nuisances Ordinance to July meeting. Seconded by Ald. H.
Sanders, motion carried.
The Committee reviewed correspondence dated June 4, 1990, from
Attorney Molter asking for more specific facts and circumstances
on the proposed Harazdous Material Ordinance. Ald. Patterson
moved to request that a letter be sent to Attorney Molter
explaining the purpose of the ordinance to do two things: (a)
give City the authority to react and correct local emergency
concerning hazardous materials, and (b) give City the ability to
charge those responsible; thereby being able to recover expenses
incurred. Seconded by Ald. Taube, motion carried.
The meeting adjourned at 7:15 P.M.
