0 MINUTES OF MEETING HELD JANUARY 14, 1987

The meeting was called to order at 8:30 P.M. by Chairman Dumke. Also
present were Committee Member Taube, Police Chief Johnson, Building
Inspector Gerald P. Lee, Ald. DeAngelis, and Mr. Eugene Gaetzke. Ald.
Patterson was absent.
The Committee reviewed correspondence from Judge Lentz dated December
12, 1986, regarding a suggested bail bond amount for the Soil Erosion
Ordinance. Ald. Dumke moved to defer until the February meeting at
which time an updated list of all bail bonds will be reviewed.
Seconded by Ald. Taube, motion carried.
A copy of the East Troy landfill ordinance was discussed and the
Committee requests that a copy be sent to the City Attorney for review
to determine whether it could be adopted by the City of Muskego.
The Committee reviewed the proposed changes in the Building, Plumbing,
and Electrical permit fees. Ald. Taube moved to recommend approval of
the proposed ordinance changes. Seconded by Ald. Dumke, motion
carried.
The Committee reviewed the rough draft of the proposed changes to
Chapter 17 of the Municipal Code regarding parking of commercial
vehicles in residential areas. Ald. Dumke moved to defer until the
February meeting to enable the Police Chief and City Attorney time to
confer. Seconded by Ald. Taube, motion carried.
Chief Johnson submitted a proposed change to Chapter 7 of the
Municipal Code to redefine weight limitations of trucks permitted on
City streets. Ald. Dumke moved to defer until Highway Supt. Bertram
has a change to review the proposed weight limitations and reports
back to the Committee. Seconded by Ald. Taube, motion carried.
A discussion took place regarding the amendment to Section 30.51 of 2
the Municipal Code to repeal Ordinance 434 which limits a code
compliance inspection to single family residence and multi -family
residence without a change in ownership. Ald. Dumke moved to defer to
the February meeting in order to have a full Committee vote.
Ald. DeAngelis requested that any new or expanded landfill include
containers to allow reclycling of paper, glass (clear and colored) and
cans. This service would be provided for by the landfill operators.
