MINUTES OF MEETING HELD AUGUST 13, 1986
The meeting was called to order at 8:00 P.M. by Chairman Dumke.
Also present were Committee Members Patterson and Taube, and Lt.
John Daley.
The Committee reviewed Chapter 16:604(4) G.2.a. of the Municipal
Code and Ald. Taube moved moved to recommend that the City
Attorney draft an ordinance to include the following amendments:
Adopting a definition that incorporates the definition of
motor truck set forth in Section 340.01(34), Wisconsin Statutes,
with a reference to the maximum gross weight of the particular
truck sought to be restricted. The ordinance should provide that
the parking of no more than one vehicle designed, used or
maintained primarily for the transportation of property having a
gross weight of 6,000 lbs. gross weight or less shall be
permitted on the owner's premises in any district except as
otherwise provided.
Change "one camping trailer" to read one recreational
vehicle up to 30 feet in length may be parked on private premises
provided such vehicle is for the sole use of camping off the
• premises, is mounted on wheels or supports, and is unconnected to
utilities and uninhabited. A vehicle 30 feet or longer shall be
classified as a mobile home.
Seconded by Ald. Patterson, motion carried.
The Committee reviewed correspondence from Police Chief Johnson
regarding Chapter 12.18 of the Municipal Code pertaining to
Emergency Alarms. Ald. Taube moved to direct the City Attorney
to draft an ordinance amending the Municipal Code to add the
following:
Section 10 - False Alarm Prohibited: The owner, occupant or
person in control of an alarm location protected by any alarm
system or alarm system as defined herein is prohibited from
allowing any false alarm whether intended or unintended.
Section 11 - Old Section 10.
Seconded by Ald. Dumke, motion carried.
The Committee reviewed the suggested changes to the Soil Erosion
Ordinance. Ald. Dumke moved to direct the City Attorney to draft
an ordinance to amend the Land Division Ordinance to include the
draft provided by the Building Inspector along with the following
• inclusion:
That appeals should be directed to the Board of Appeals

The Committee is also requesting the City Attorney to clarify
legality of eliminating last sentence on page #2, paragraph (7),
Land Disturbing Activities, and also review the 30 day delay in
last paragraph on page 12, 22.09, Section #3 to ascertain if it
can be shortened to 10 days. Seconded by Ald. Patterson, motion
carried.
The minutes of the previous meeting were reviewed and placed on
file.
The meeting adjourned at 9:50 P.M.
