RLO19860113RULES, LAWS & ORDINANCE COMMITTEE - CITY OF MUSKEGO MINUTES OF MEETING HELD JANUARY 13, 1986 The meeting was called to order by Chairman Dumke at 8:39 P.M. Also present were Committee Members Taube and Patterson, Mayor Salentine and Lt. Gifford. The Committee reviewed proposed changes to Liquor Ordinance. Ald. Penovich moved to ask the City Attorney for clarification of the following: 1. Section 2(b) - How does this apply in regard to consumption only? 2. Section (3)(g)l.0 - If a temporary license is issued to a group, would it be sufficient to require only one licensed operator on the premises rather than all having to be licensed? The Committee reviewed the Police Department's suggested changes to Ordinance #20.07 (2)(b) which prohibits the operation of any motor vehicle on Muskego's lakes in excess of 10 mph. The ordinance exempts snowmobiles from the 10 mph restriction, but it does not exempt all terrain vehicles. The Committee decided not to make any changes at this time. The Committee reviewed the Police Department's correspondence regarding State Statute #66.28, Disposal of Abandoned Property, which requires the municipality to dispose of property by auction, unless an ordinance specifies an alternative for disposal. The Police Department is requesting that an ordinance be adopted giving the Police Department the option of disposing of property by written bid, auction, donation of items to charity, destruction, or return to finder(citizen). The Committee deferred action until receipt of opinion from the City Attorney. The meeting adjourned at 10:00 P.M. [67-1 0 Respectfully submitted, Ald. Patrick Patterson Secretary
