• MINUTES OF MEETING HELD JANUARY 28, 1985
The meeting was called to order at 7:02 P.M. by Chairman Dumke.
Also present was Committee Member Gaetzke, Mayor Salentine and
Lt. Johnson. Ald. Nilsson was absent.
The Committee discussed Resolution #194-84, Hiring of
Relatives. The Committee agreed to the following list of
Departments:
Lesi lative - Mayor and Aldermen (encompasses every
Department
Administrative - Clerk, Treasurer, Assessor, Building
Inspection, Maintenance, etc.
Library
Public Works
Ju icy' aT--- Includes Police Department and Court Personnel
Parted Recreation
Boards, Commissions and Committees affiliated with
Departments will come under their respective departments.
Part-time employees for calendar year 1984 will be
considered to be grandfathered in as to rehiring for calendar
1985.
• The Committee further discussed Chapter 12.03, Transient
Merchants. The Committee recommends Council approval of the
proposed ordinance with the exception of Section 12.03 (1) where
they omitted "(with the exception of daily permits and
ap lications submitted bey charitable organizations)" and 12.03
(IM) where they added 'Each person peddling, soliciting,
canvassing under the prospective license must remit an additional
$5.00".
The Committee discussed amendment to Chapter 8.02 (3) and (5)
Ditch Bond Inspection and Street Bond Inspection. Ald. Gaetzke
moved to recommend Council approval of the amendment increasing
the inspection fee to $20.00. Seconded by Ald. Dumke, motion
carried.
The Committee discussed amendment to Chapter 8.04 (2) Street
Opening Permit. Ald. Gaetzke moved to recommend Council approval
to increase fee to $20.00. Seconded by Ald. Dumke, motion
carried.
The Committee reviewed minutes of previous meeting.
The meeting adjourned at 8:02 P.M.
