RLO19840213RULES, LAWS, ORDINANCE COMMITTEE - CITY OF MUSKEGO
MINUTES OF MEETING HELD FEBRUARY 13, 1984
The meeting was called to order at 7:00 P.M. by Chairman
Dumke. Also present were Committee Members Tomczyk and
Gaetzke, Lt. Johnson, Mrs. Treba and Fire Chief Ed Salentine.
The Committee discussed amending Chapter 15.23 of the Municipal
Code regarding underground electrical wiring relating to
parcels of 3 acres or more in Agriculture zoning. The
Committee felt that some input should be obtained from the
Building Inspector before any amendment is considered.
The Committee reviewed the responsibilities and details of Ord.
464 (No Parking in Fire Lanes). Ald. Tomczyk moved, Ald.
Gaetzke seconded, to amend Chapter 7, Section 7.05 of the
Municipal Code to add the following: The areas to be marked as
fire lanes will be determined by the City's Fire Chiefs. The
installation of the signs and the costs involved shall be the
responsibility of the City. Motion carried.
The Committee reviewed proposed amendment to Chapter 3.05(5) to
provide police representation on the Capital Budget
Committee. The Committee recommended an amendment to Chapter
3.05(5) to read: The Mayor shall appoint a citizen -at -large to
represent the Police Department on the Capital Budgeting
Committee.
The Committee reviewed amendments to the Local Bail Bond
schedule. The Committee agreed with the Bail Bond Schedule
dated 1/17/84 which was amended by Judge Wittbrot and okayed by
Atty. Molter.
The Committee reviewed Ord. 482, An Ordinance to Amend Chapter
3, Section 3.10(5)(a)(b)(f) of the Municipal Code (Sewer
Charges). The Committee recommended Ord.482 go back to Council
for second reading as is.
The Committee reviewed the minutes of the previous meeting.
A1d.Tomczyk moved to adjourn at 8:30 P.M. Seconded by Ald.
Gaetzke, motion carried.
