MINUTES OF MEETING HELD DECEMBER 12, 1983
The meeting was called to order at 7:10 P.M. by Chairman
Dumke. Also present were Committee Members Tomczyk and
Gaetzke, Mayor Salentine, Lt. Johnson and those persons per the
attached list.
The Committee reviewed Chapter 9.17 of the Municipal Code
concerning Junked Cars. Ald. Tomczyk moved, Ald. Gaetzke
seconded, to have Lt. Johnson contact the City Attorney to
draft an amendment removing the Storage of Junk from Chapter 9
and include same in Chapter 10.03(11) and add a new sub-
paragraph (12) to define junked vehicles. Motion carried.
The Committee reviewed proposed Ord. #477, An Ordinance to
Amend Chapter 17, Section 8.01(7)A.3.b. of the Municipal Code
regarding Livestock in an RCE District. Ald. Tomczyk moved,
Ald. Gaetzke seconded, to recommend approval to the Council.
Motion carried.
The Committee discussed the recommendations of the Sewer
Committee to amend Chapter 3 regarding Outhouses. Ald. Gaetzke
moved, Ald. Tomczyk seconded, to request the City Attorney to
review and draft an ordinance to add the following sentence to
Chapter 3.10(4)(a): "It shall be illegal to have an outhouse
on the property where the primary dwelling is serviced by
Muskego Sewer System". Motion carried.
The Committee reviewed proposed amendments to Chapter 13,
Section 13.016 regarding Cats. The Committee recommended
several changes and requested the City Attorney review and re-
draft the ordinance for further review by the Committee.
The Committee discussed Proof of Rabies requirements for
dogs. Ald. Tomczyk moved, Ald. Gaetzke seconded, to add the
following sentence to Chapter 13.01(2): "Prior to the issuance
of the license the owner shall present evidence that the dog is
currently immunized against rabies." Motion carried.
The Committee discussed the elimination of provision of 1/2
price for dog licenses after July 1st under Chapter 13.01.
Ald. Tomczyk moved, Ald. Gaetzke seconded, to delete the last
sentence of 13.01(3) which states" Licenses purchase after
July 1st of each year will be 1/2 the cost of the regular
license". Motion carried.
The Committee discussed amending Chapter 3.05 (5) to provide
for police representation to the Capital Budget Committee.
Ald. Tomczyk moved, Chairman Dumke seconded, to add that a
member of the Police and Fire Commission be appointed to the
Capital Budget Committee.
The minutes of the previous meeting were reviewed and placed on
file.
Ald. Tomczyk moved to adjourn at 9:15 P.M. Seconded by Ald.
Gaetzke, motion carried.
