• MINUTES OF MEETING HELD OCTOBER 18, 1983
The meeting was called to order at 7:00 P.M. by Chairman Dumke.
Also present were Committee Member Tomczyk, Mayor Salentine
and Aid. Nilsson. Ald. Gaetz,ke was absent.
The Committee discussed Ordinance #435 with the Chairman of the
Sewer Committee. Ald. Nilsson recommended that Chapter 3.10
(5)(g) regarding the availability of sewer by easement connection
charge of $1,000 be deleted in accordance with the new special
assessment policy. Ald. Dumke moved to recommend Council approval
of same and dirLvet the City Attorneyito draft an ordinance to
make such amendment. Seconded by Ald. Tomczyk, motion carried.
The Committee discussed sewer connection fees. Aid. Tomczyk moved
to direct the City Attorney to draft an ordinance to amend
Chapter 3.10 (5)(f) of the Municipal Code to read as follows:
"For each lot, parcel of land or premises for which sewage disposal
facilities have been or will be made available, there shall be
collected a connection charge in the sum of $750.00 effective
until December 31, 1984." Seconded by Ald. Dumke, motion carried.
The Committee noted they had recommended a fine structure for
Dogs at Large at their 7/18/83 meeting.
• The Committee discussed regulations concerning Outhouses, and will
check the Building Code.
Sgt. Daley requested clarification of closing hours for Class
A licenses, and the Committee advised an ordinance would be intro-
duced to amend Chapter 12.01 to state closing hours of 9:00 P.M. to
8:00 A.M.
In order to settle the Pick 'n Save litigation, Ald. Dumke moved
to recommend adoption of an ordinance to amend Chapter 12.01(5)(b)
to eliminate the following sentence: "No such license shall be
issued for any premises other than premises used exclusively for
the sale of distilled and fermented beverages, soft drinks,
tobaccos and such accessories and related items which are customarily
used in connection with the consumption of such beverages; provided,
however, this provision shall not apply to those holding Class "A"
licenses issued by the City prior to September 14, 1982". Seconded
by Ald. Tomczyk, motion carried.
The Committee deferred action on the proposed amendment to
Section 8.01(A)(3) of the Zoning Ordinance - "Pig Ordinance".
Ald. Tomczyk moved to recommend the speed limit on Woods Road
be reduced from 40 mph to 35 mph. Seconded by Ald. Dumke, motion
carried.
The Committee reviewed the minutes of the previous meeting and
placed them on file.
Ald. Tomczyk moved to adjourn at 8:30 P.M., seconded by Ald.
Dumke. Motion carried.
