MINUTES OF MEETING HELD DECEMBER 16, 1981
The meeting was called to order by Chairman Salentine at 9:10 P.M.
Also present were Committee Members Radtke and Knudsen. Also present
were Mayor Gottfried, Ald. Dumke and Police Chief Scholz.
Ald. Knudsen moved to recommend to the Common Council approval of
Ordinance #417, entitled, An Ordinance to Amend Ch. 20, Sec. 20.08
of the Municipal Code (Re: Skin Diving and Swimming) after it is
amended in accordance with the recommendation of the city attorney.
Seconded by Ald. Radtke. Motion carried.
The committee deferred,action regarding the exemption of Sec. 9.055
of the Municipal Code (Re: Drinking in public places -parade routes)
and a review of the city attorney's report on operation of mini -
bikes in the city until the next meeting.
The committee discussed the proposed :ordinance relating to duplexes
not being occupied. The committee agreed than an ordinance change
was not necessary. It is their recommendation the Sewer Committee
should evaluate each request for exemption of the sewer usage
charge.
Police Chief Scholz inquired as to the status of his request regarding
a proposed model ordinance adopting certain state laws as a local
ordinance. The committee directed the city attorney to review the
state ordinances and give his recommendation to the committee.
The committee reviewed the Uniform Housing Code as submitted by the
Building Inspection Department. Action was deferred on this matter
until the next meeting.
Ald. Salentine moved to adjourn. Seconded by Ald. Knudsen. Motion
carried. The meeting adjourned at 9:45 P.M.
