RLO19800709• RULES, LAWS & ORDINANCE COMMITTEE - CITY OF MUSKEGO MINUTES OF MEETING HELD JULY 9, 1980 The meeting was called to order by Chairman Edwin Dumke at 8:50 P.M. Also present were Committee Members Knudsen and Radtke and those persons as per the attached list. ` The committee discussed the prop. ed ordinance relating to holding tanks The committee would like to have an opinion as to how non- payment would be handled. If there is an assessment it is the committee's suggest that the costs for pumping the holding tank be placed on the tax roll as a special assessment. Ald. Radtke moved to direct the city attorney to draft the necessary revision to the holding tank ordinance. Seconded by Ald. Knudsen. Motion carried (Note: The ordinance answering the above questions was found in the Rules, Laws & Ordinance box) The committee discussed the section of the Municipal Code relating to water ski jumps. Ald. Radtke moved to table any further dis- cussion as to the issuance of an annual permit for such purposes Seconded by Ald. Dumke. Motion carried. The committee discussed the possibility of an ordinance which would • prohibit the drinking of alcoholic beverages in public places. The committee is again requesting the city attorney for an opinion as to what constitutes the area of a licensed tavern. Ald. Knudsen moved to table the suggested ordinance on drinking of alcoholic beverages in public places. Seconded by Ald. Radtke. Motion carried. n LJ A communication from Mr. and Mrs. Kettner, Kingston Drive, will be forwarded to the Building Inspection Department with a suggestion they follow through on the related matter The committee discussed at length the propo5-ed cable TV ordinance. Also Knudsen moved to reaffirm the recommendation of the committee to the Common Council that Ordinance #388 be adopted. Seconded by Ald. Radtke. Motion carried. Ald. Radtke moved to adjourn.
