RLO19800611RULES, LAWS & ORDINANCE COMMITTEE - CITY OF MUSKEGO MINUTES OF MEETING HELD JUNE 11, 1980 The meeting was called to order by Chairman Dumke at 8 39 P M. Also present were Committee Members Knudsen and Radtke, Ald. Van Lanen, Ald. Steinberg, Chief Scholz, Mayor Gottfried and Sentinel Reporter Kevin Carmody. Discussion was held regarding an ordinance which would prohibit the drinking of alcoholic beverages in public places. In their discussion the committee considered what affect the passage of such an ordinance would have on licensed beaches or picnic areas. The committee agreed to ask the City Attorney for an opinion as to what constitutes the area of a licensed tavern. The committee discussed the proposed amendments to the Zoning Ordinance relating to signs. Ald. Knudsen moved to recommend to the Common Council adoption of the necessary amendments of the Zoning Ordinance relating to signs which have been recommended by the Plan Commission. Seconded by Ald. Radtke. Motion carried. • The committee agreed to consider an amendment to Section 3.06 of the Zoning Ordinance which relates to referral of recommendations • back to the Plan Commission when not agreed to by the Common Council until its next meeting. Ordinance P388, entitled, An Ordinance To Create Cable Franchise in the City of Muskego, Wisconsin, was reviewed. Ald. Knudsen moved to recommend to the Common Council adoption of the ordinance. Seconded by Ald. Radtke. Motion carried. C, n LJ Ald. Radtke discussed with the committee the possibility_ of amending Section 20.05 of the Municipal Code in order that an annual permit could be issued for ski jumps, He indicated that in the past years the Council had granted permits throughout the summer at two -week intervals. The committee agreed to discuss this matter at its next meeting. Ald. Radtke moved to adjourn, Seconded by Ald Knudsen. Motion carried.
