RULES, LAWS & ORDINANCE COMMITTEE - CITY OF MUSKEGO
MINUTES OF MEETING HELD NOVEMBER 19, 1979
The meeting was called to order by Chairman VanLanen at
7:02 P.M. Also present were Committee Members Pietruszynski
and Salentine.
Ald. VanLanen moved to have an opinion obtained from the City
Attorney regarding the kinds of facts, evidence and proof needed
to substantiate that the operators of a tavern are in violation
of their license. Seconded by Ald. Pietruszynski. Motion
carried.
Communication from Mayor Gottfried, directed to City Attorney's
Office, dated 10/9/79 regarding adult theaters in the city was
reviewed.
Ald..-VanLanen moved,to-have a more -definte=answer-.from the
City Attorney'_s 'office _as to what _avenues -are. _open _to the
committee relating to the X-rated-.theaters in Muskego. -
Seconded by-Ald. Pietruszynski. -The-motion will be pursued by
the Chairman. The motion carried.
Correspondence from Mr. and Mrs. Alan Koester, Circle Drive,
regarding pornographic material and responses to the correspondence
from government officials was reviewed.
Lt. Zabel of the PoliceDepartmentappeared at the meeting to
explain State Statute #944.25 as it relates to minors.
There being no further business, Ald. VanLanen moved to adjourn.
Seconded by Ald. Salentine. Motion carried. The meeting
adjourned at 8:07 P.M.
