MINUTES OF MEETING HELD MARCH 14, 1979
The meeting was called to order by Chairman Pienkos. Also present.
were Ald. Wallner, Ald. Tomczyk, Mayor Gottfried, Gerald Lee, Mr.
Wayne Salentine, Ald. Van Lanen, Mrs. Van Lanen and Mrs HE'ckert.
The minutes of the previous meeting were reviewed and placed on
file.
Mr Lee advised the committee of regulations which must be followed
when flammable liquids are stored underground. Considerable dis-
cussion took place regarding the pros and cons of administering the State
Administrative Code particularly as it relates to the types of under-
ground storage containers. Further discussion will take place at the
committee's next meeting. -
The committee is waiting for an opinion from Attorney Buckley regarding
two particular questions related to the model ordinance on transient
merchants and direct sellers
•The committee reviewed an ordinance of the Village of Sussex pertaining
to the plowing of snow on paved streets. The committee discussed
the possibility of such an ordinance and asked that the deputy clerk
contact surrounding communities to determine whether they have or are
contemplating such an ordinance.
The committee reviewed Ordinance #369 (Traffic Code - Drunk Driving).
Ald. Tomczyk moved to recommend adoption by the Common Council.
Seconded by Ald. Wallner. Motion carried.
Ald. Wallner moved to adjourn. Seconded by Ald. Tomczyk. Motion
carried. The meeting adjourned at 9:35 P.M
