RULES, LAWS & ORDINANCE COMMITTEE - CITY OF MUSKEGO
MINUTES OF MEETING HELD FEBRUARY 18, 1979
The meeting was called to order by Chairman Van Lanen at 8:06 P.M.
Also present were Committee Members Salentine and Pietruszynski
and Mayor Gottfried.
The committee reviewed Ordinance #275, entitled An Ordinance to
Repeal and Recreate and to Amend Chapter 8 0£ the Municipal Code,
as it relates to the $200.00 ditch bond fee. Ald. Salentine moved
to update Ordinance #275, if needed, to conform to curb and gutter
requirements. Seconded by Ald. Van Lanen. Motion carried.
Ordinance #381, entitled, An Ordinance to Create a Code Regulating
Traffic Upon the Streets, Alleys, and Highways of the City of Muskego,
Wisconsin, (Re: operating a vehicle while under the influence of
alcohol) was discussed, along with a letter of recommendation from
Attorney Gross. Ald. Van Lanen moved to recommend to the Common
Council the adoption of Ordinance #381. Seconded by Ald. Pietruszynski
Motion carried.
The committee reviewed an opinion which was found in the Municipality
• Publication which related to the showing of X-rated movies. Mayor
Gottfried will obtain a copy of Opinion #380 which was referred to
in the article.
Ordinances relating to cable television were presented by Ald.
Van Lanen and will be reviewed at the next meeting of the committee.
Communication dated February 8, 1980 from Attorney Molter regarding
the formulation of a referendum under s.s. 9.20 was reviewed and
placed on file.
Minutes of meeting held January 21, 1980 were reviewed. Ald. Van
Lanen moved to approve the minutes as read. Seconded by Ald.
Salentine. Motion carried.
