• MINUTES OF MEETING HELD FEBRUARY 23, 1977
The meeting was called to order at 8:45 P.M. by Acting Chairman
Constantineau. Also present was committee member Wallner, Mayor
Gottfried, Ald. Pienkos and Building Inspector Lee.
The committee considered Ordinance #M involving the registration
• of snowmobiles. It was noted that the city's Police Department
presently does not have the authority to issue citations for non-
registered snowmobiles. The passage of Ordinance #323 will adopt
by reference provisions of Section #350 of the State Statutes. Ald.
Constantineau moved to recommend adoption of the ordinance. Sec-
onded by Ald. Wallner, motion carried.
Mayor Gottfried advised the committee that copies of the proposed
amendments to Ordinance #277 which establishes rules and regulations
governing parks and recreational facilities within the city will
be sent to members of the committee in order that it can be discussed
at their next meeting.
Ald. Pienkos, representing the Library Board, requested that the
is committee consider collection of non-payment of library fines
through a special assessment on the tax roll. It was the committee's
decision to review existing ordinances to determine whether or not
some provisions are already in the municipal code and to review the
Library's policy regarding fines before making a decision on the
matter.

Building Inspector Lee advised the committee that they have begun
charging for planned examinations as provided in the State Plumbing
Code for buildings under 50,000 sq. ft. (the charge will be 35C
per 1,000 cu. ft.) Plans for buildings in excess of 50,000 sq. ft.
must still be sent to the State for review.
Ald. Constantineau moved to adjourn,. seconded by Ald. Wallner.
Motion carried. The meeting adjourned at 9:30 P.M.
