RLO19760623• RULES, LAWS & ORDINANCE COMMITTEE - CITY OF MUSKEGO MINUTES OF MEETING HELD JUNE 23, 1976 The meeting was called to order at 8:50 P.M. by Ald. Wallner. Also present were Ald. Ford, Ald. Constantineau and Ald. Pienkos, Building Inspector Lee, Mrs. Smutkowski and Mrs. Thode. Mrs. Smukowski and Mrs. Thode were present to discuss the petition presented to the Council requiring the $1,000.00 cash bond they were required to pay for holding tanks. They were informed that the Welfare Committee had recommended to the Rules, Laws & Ordinance Comm. that Section 16.25 of the city's Municipal Code be amended to permit the owners of the $1,000.00 cash bond to place this money in escrow to the city and the owners to collect interest. Ald. Wallner moved to refer this matter back to the Welfare Committee for further study because of the petition presented to the Common Council on June 22nd concerning holding tanks. Seconded by Ald. Constantineau, motion carried. The committee reviewed correspondence from City Attorney Buckley re- garding letter from SEWRPC regarding sub -standard lots. Same placed • on file. The committee reviewed ordinances of neighboring municipalities re- garding littering of streets. No action was taken in order to give committee members an opportunity to review the material. The committee discussed at length the fencing requirements of other communities. Zoning Officer Lee appraised the committee of the city's present system of controlling fences and reviewed some of the require- ments he would like to have adopted. Ald. Wallner moved that Mr. Lee review the minimum housing code and report back to the committee as it relates to fencing. Seconded by Ald. Constantineau, motion carried. Ald.
