• MINUTES OF MEETING HELD MAY 26, 1976
The meeting was called to order at 9:12 P.M. by Chairman Ford.
Also present were committee members Constantineau and Colburn,
Ald. Pienkos, Mayor Gottfried and Gerald Lee.
The committee is awaiting word from City Attorney Buckley
regarding correspondence received from Southeastern Wisconsin
Regional Plan Commission regarding substandard lots.
Ald. Colburn, former Chairman of the Rules, Laws & Ordinance
Committee reviewed for the new members of the committee the
proposed changes in the city's Firearms Ordinance. Ald. Ford
moved that the Firearms Ordinance not be amended at this time.
Seconded by Ald. Constantineau, motion carried.
The committee reviewed with Zoning Officer Lee the possibility
of amending Ch. 9 of the Municipal Code regarding littering of
city streets. Ald. Ford moved that Mayor Gottfried contact
neighboring communities as to whether or not they have such
an ordinance. Seconded by Ald. Constantineau, motion carried.
• The committee also discussed with Gerald Lee the city's present
regulations on fences within the city. Ald. Ford moved to defer
action on the discussion on fencing until the next meeting.

Ald. Colburn, Chairman of the Public Welfare Committee, recommended
to the Rules, Laws & Ordinance Committee that "No Parking" signs
be erected on the Pleasant View extension from Lake Drive to the
lake. Ald. Constantineau moved that the above stated signs be
installed by the Public Works Department. Seconded by Ald. Ford.
Motion carried.
Ald. Ford moved to recommend to Common Council the proposed
amendments to the Building Code as submitted by Building Inspector
Lee. Seconded by Ald. Constantineau, motion carried.
Correspondence from the Coroner's Office in Waukesha was received
and placed on file.
Ald. Constantineau moved to adjourn, seconded by Ald. Ford, motion
carried. The meeting adjourned at 10:05 P.M.
