MINUTES OF MEETING HELD MAY 129 1976
The meeting was called to order by Ald. Constantineau at 8:38 P.M.
Also present was committee member Wallner and Aldermen Dumke and Pienkos.
The committee discussed proposed Ordinance #312 regarding operation of
motor vehicles on Bass Bay. A discussion was held regarding the city's
liability in the event a snowmobile would break through the ice due to
aerators operating in Bass Bay. Ald. Wallner moved that City Attorney
John Buckley be contacted regarding any liability the city might have
as a result of the aerators operating in Bass Bay. Seconded by Ald.
Constantineau, motion carried.
Correspondence from SEWRPC was reviewed regarding substandard lots.
City Attorney Buckley will be contacted regarding the recommendation
of SEWRPC.
Correspondence was received from several neighboring municipalites
regarding their Firearms Ordinance. Ald. Constantineau moved to defer
•discussion on this matter until the next meeting to have an opportunity
to review the various ordinances of Towns of Oconomowoc, Norway, Waukesha,
Caledonia, Vernon and the City of Franklin. Seconded by Ald. Wallner,
motion carried.
The committee discussed the recommendation of the Safety Committee
regarding "No Parking" signs on Garnet Drive. Ald. Wallner moved to
defer the matter to the next meeting for further discussion. Seconded
by Ald. Constantineau, motion carried.
Ald. Constantineau suggested amending present city ordinances to have
general contractors responsible for mud and other debris on thoroughfare
streets caused by them or any of their sub -contractors. Ald. Wallner
moved to defer this matter to the next meeting and to invite Zoning
Officer Lee to the meeting to discuss the matter. Seconded by Ald.
Constantineau, motion carried.
Ald. Wallner moved to discuss the city's ordinances regarding fences
with Gerald Lee at the next meeting. Seconded by Ald. Constantineau,
motion carried.
Ald. Wallner moved to adjourn, seconded by Ald. Constantineau, motion
carried. The meeting adjourned at 9:50 P.M.
