MINUTES OF MEETING HELD SEPTEMBER 13, 1973
The meeting was called to order by Chairman Foldy at 9:05 P.M.
Aldo present were Aldermen Ford, Knudsen, Czarnecki and Wallner and
Chief Kraus.
A discussion was held on the present Burning Ordinance and several
proposed changes were suggested. Chief Kraus will get a rough draft
to the two fire chiefs and committee members.
Ald Ford moved to amend Chapter 16 (Plumbing Code) of the Municipal
Code by repealing and recreating Sec. 16.27 to read as follows:
Section 16.27 - Discharge of Clear Water Sump Pumps
All sump pumps installed for the purpose of discharging
clear waters from foundation drains and ground infiltration,
and where the building is not serviced by a storm sewer,
shall either discharge into a conduit leading to a drainage
ditch or shall discharge onto the ground at least three (3)
feet out from the building and one (1) foot above the per-
manent grade. The sump discharge pipe shall be to the front
of the building except where a drainage ditch or ravine is
on another side of the property, it may be located on that
side of the building at least three (3) feet from the
corner of the building and be located in such a manner that
the drainage shall be across the owner's broperty toward
a street or drainage easement so as not to run on adjacent
properties, or to create a nuisance.
