• MINUTES OF MEETING HELD JANUARY 11, 1973
The meeting was called to order at 8:40 P.M. Present were Aldermen Ford
and Knudsen, Mayor Gottfried, Police Chief Kraus and Building Inspector
Lee.
Building Inspector Lee presented proposed changes in the Uniform Building
Code as recommended by the Southeast Wisconsin Building Inspection
Association. Ald. Knudsen moved to recommend Common Council approval of
the proposed changes. Seconded by Ald. Ford, motion carried.
Building Inspector Lee pointed out an error in Section 2.3 of the proposed
Land Division Ordinance. The committee agreed to see that the error is
corrected before adoption of the ordinance.
Alderman Foldy joined the meeting at this time.
Ald. Ford moved to recommend that the Common Council adopt Ordinance #246
regulating the use and operation of snowmobiles within the City of Muskego.
Seconded by Ald. Knudsen, motion carried.
A letter from Attorney Buckley was read concerning trap shooting operations
in the city. It was Mr. Buckley's opinion that these operations fall under
• a Conditional Use status. Mayor Gottfried will notify all the trap shoot
operators of this opinion.

Action on the Open Burning Ordinance was deferred for two weeks.
Ald. Foldy reported a citizen complaint of the live trapping of squirrels
and rabbits in Fountainwood Subdivision. A discussion followed however
action was deferred for two weeks so that the committee can review ordinances
from other municipalities governing such trapping.
A discussion was held regarding the revision of our Boating Ordinance. State
law required that our ordinance be identical with the Town of Norway since
a portion of Lake Denoon is in the Town of Norway. No action was taken.
Ald. Ford moved to adjourn at 10:30 P.M. Seconded by Ald. Foldy, motion
carried. The meeting adjourned.
