MINUTES OF MEETING HELD JULY 131 1972
Chairman Foldy called the meeting to order at 9:05 P.M. Also present
were committee members Aldermen Ford and Knudsen, Mayor Gottfried, Alder-
man DeBack and Building Inspector Lee.
Mayor Gottfried agreed to invite Don Yahr, Police Chief Kraus and Mr. George
Vogel to the next meeting to discuss off -the -road vehicles.
• Ald. Knudsen will get Federal and State air pollution and sanitation
guidelines for rendering plants.
Ald. Ford moved to recommend that the Common Council amend the Zoning
Ordinance Sec. 8.16(7)G with the addition of 3. Rendering Plants (per-
mitting rendering plants in I-2 Dist. as a Conditional Use)
Building Inspector Lee clarified Ordinance #217 to everyone's satisfaction.
Since the ordinance had previously been recommended for adoption, no
further action was necessary.
Mayor Gottfried advised that Mr. Norb Theine of SEWRPC will appear before
a special meeting of the committee, July 18, 1972, 7:00 P.M. to discuss
the Land Division Ordinance.
is A discussion took place regarding abandoned basements. Ald. Ford moved
that Attorney Buckley be directed to combine the old Town of Muskego
Ordinance regulating open excavation for buildings with our existing
ordinance so that the city can have abandoned basements filled and bill
the owner if the owner fails to fill it. Seconded by Ald. Knudsen,
motion carried. Mayor Gottfried will contact City Attorney Buckley.
Building Inspector Lee discussed his interpretation of Ch. 18.28 of the
Municipal Code with the committee and the committee agreed with his
interpretation.
Ald. Knudsen moved to recommend that the Common Council adopt Ordinance
#228. Seconded by Ald. Ford, motion carried.
Building Inspector Lee will review Ch. 131 of Wisconsin Statutes, pertain-
ing to abandoned vehicles and report back to the committee.
Ald. Knudsen moved to adjourn, seconded by Ald. Ford. The meeting
adjourned at 10:55 P.M.
