MINUTES OF MEETING HELD APRIL 15, 1971
Chairman Narlock called the meeting to order at 8:30 P.M. Also present
was Alderman Foldy.
Minutes of previous meeting were reviewed and placed on file.
The proposed ordinance to limit parking of trucks was reviewed. To
post all entrances to the city is too costly. Questions to be answered
are as follows: Could the 6ity Attorney enforce the proposed ordinance
if only the major entrances to the city were signed? And, Could College
Avenue from Lentini Drive to a point west of the Union "76" station
be posted "No Parking from Midnight to 7:00 A.M.? This area is zoned
for business and the adjacent areas are zoned residential which pro-
hibits truck parking. Mayor Gottfried to correspond with the City
Attorney.
A request from School Superintendent Kreuser requesting the Council
adopt a resolution objecting to the proposed distribution of school
aids by Governor Lucey, was received. Ald. Narlock moved to recommend
adoption of such resolution to the Council. Seconded by Foldy, motion
carried. Mayor Gottfried to draft resolution.
Foldy moved for adjournment. Seconded by Narlock, motion carried.
The meeting adjourned at 9:00 P.M.
