RULES, LAWS & ORDINANCE COMMITTEE - CITY OF MUSKEGO
MINUTES OF MEETING HELD ON NOVEMBER 12, 1970
The meeting was called to order at 8:20 P.M. by Acting Chairman Foldy.
Also present were Aid. Dwyer and Mayor Gottfried.
The minutes of the previous meeting held on October 29, 1970, were
approved and placed on file.
The Committee reviewed the following items:
Ordinance #184 - Establishing a Capital Budgeting Committee. This
ordinance has been amended to add a member of the Watershed Commission
to the Capital Budget Committee. Dwyer moved to recommend the adoption
of Ordinance #184, as drafted, to the Common Council. Foldy seconded.
Motion carried.
Ordinance #177: Regulating the storage and use of explosives within
the City, and requiring a permit therefor. The Committee discussed
the proposed ordinance at length. Dwyer moved to defer action on the
proposed ordinance until after a public hearing is held. Foldy Seconded.
Motion carried. Acting Chairman Foldy set the public hearing date
for Thursday, December 10, 1970, at 8:00 P.M. City Hall, City of
Muskego. The City Clerk to publicize the public hearing.
Proposed Ordinance - Nudity in Public Places Prohibited: The original
draft of this ordinance as received from City Attorney Buckley was
discussed. The Committee accepted the ordinance as drafted, but would
add the phraseology that is used in the Town of Babylon, New York,
Ordinance, which refers to scene, sketch, act or entertainment. Mayor
Gottfried to correspond with City Attorney Buckley.
Dwyer moved to adjourn.
