• MINUTES OF MEETING HELD ON OCTOBER 1, 1970
Chairman Narlock called the meeting to order at 7:05 P.M. Also present
were Aldermen Dwyer and Foldy.
The minutes of the previous meeting held on September 10, 1970, were
• approved and placed on file.
The Committee reviewed the following items:
Ordinance #183 - An Ordinance to Amend Section 9.01 (1) (C) of the
Municipal Code which prohibits the discharge of a 22 caliber rifle
or pistol using rim fired cartridges anywhere within the city limits,
was discussed by the Committee. Foldy moved to recommend the adoption
of Ordinance #183 as drafted, to the Common Council. Narlock seconded.
Motion carried.
Ordinance #177 - An Ordinance Regulating the Operation of Snowmobiles
in the City of Muskego. The Committee is still awaiting word from City
Attorney Buckley on the determination of the city's liability if snow-
mobiling is allowed in the city parks. Mayor Gottfried to correspond
iwith City Attorney Buckley.

Ordinance to Prohibit ExDlosives and Their Use Without a Permit. The
Committee reviewed the first draft of the explosives ordinance. Foldy
moved to defer action on the ordinance and return it to City Attorney
Buckley for further clarification about the type of explosive permits
and the date the explosive is to be used. Dwyer seconded. Motion
carried. Mayor Gottfried to correspond with City Attorney Buckley.
A report from the Police Dept., dated August 27, 1970, about street
name confusion on North Shore Drive was read and placed on file. Foldy
reported that the Public Safety Committee had North Shore Drive on
the agenda for street name review.
Ordinance #178 - An Ordinance to Amend Section 3.05 By Adding a Capital
Expenditure Budget and a Capital Budgeting Committee. Narlock moved
to amend this ordinance by adding another citizen member who is also
a member of one of the Muskego Lake Associatiors to the Budgeting
Committee. Foldy-seconded. Motion carried. The Committee was of the
opinion that the restoration programs for the lakes in the City of
Muskego represent a substantial capital outlay and those civic organ-
izations interested in these programs should be on Capital Budgeting
Committee. Mayor Gottfried to correspond with City Attorney Buckley.
The Committee reviewed the agreements it has with the Wauer family and
the operation of the city dump.
Dwyer moved to adjourn. Foldy seconded. Meeting adjourned at 9:20 P.M.
