RLO19700910• 0 • RULES, LAWS & ORDINANCE COMMITTEE - CITY OF MUSREGO MINUTES OF MEETING HELD SEPTEMBER 10, 1970 Chairman Narlock called the meeting to order at 8:40 P.M. Also present were Aldermen Foldy and Dwyer and Mayor Gottfried. The minutes of the previous meeting held on August 27, 1970, were approved and placed on file. The Committee reviewed the following items: Ordinance to Prohibit Explosives and their Use Without a Permit The ordinance as recommended from the Safety Committee was discussed. The permit fee schedule was established at $2.00 for a single use explosive permit, and $10.00 for annual multiple use permit which allows the holder of the permit to store explosives. Foldy moved to send the proposed explosive ordinance to City Attorney Buckley for final draft, and that a public hearing be held after the ordinance draft had been reviewed. Narlock seconded. Motion carried. Mayor Gottfried to correspond with City Attorney Buckley. Dedicated Land Requirement for New Subdivisions A discussion was held on the proposed amendment to the Subdivision Control Ordinance which will require the subdivider to provide and dedicate to the public, adequate land to provide for the school, park and recreation needs of the subdivision. Each of the committee members and the Mayor expressed their philosophies on how the City of Muskego should or will grow, and what effect the proposed amendment would do to the potential growth of the city. Because the proposed amendment is extremely controversial and the present Plan Commission has not had an opportunity to voice their viewpoint, Narlock moved to send the amended ordinance to the Plan Commission for their opinion. Dwyer seconded. Motion carried. Mayor Gottfried to communicate with Plan Commission. Dwyer moved to adjourn. Foldy seconded. Meeting adjourned at 10:20 P.M. Respectfully submitted, John E. Dwyer, Sec'y. RULES, LAWS & ORDINANCE COMMITTEI
