0 MINUTES OF MEETING HELD FEBRUARY 5, 1970
The meeting was called to order at 7:50 P.M. by Chairman Narlock. Also
present were Mayor Wieselmann, Alderman Sapp, City Engineer Kelsenberg,
Building Inspector Lee, Mr. Harold Ryan of the Soil Conservation Dept.,
Mr. William McElwee of the Southeastern Wisconsin Regional Planning
commission, Mr. Ron Ford and Mr. Larry Schneider of the Little Muskego
ake Association.
The Minutes of the previous meeting held on January 22, 1970, were
reviewed and placed on file.
Mr. Ryan reported on the National Sediment Control Conference held
recently. He stated that a Wisconsin conference will be held on April 1,
1970 in Waukesha.
Mr. Ryan complimented the City on the establishment of the Water Shed
Commission and stated that he felt that this was a good start toward
the alleviation of our problems.
Mr. McElwee discussed the Soils Development Gude which was published by
SEWRPC to advise municipalities of the Potential Benefits in the use of
Soils Data; Interpretations of Soil Survey Data.; Soil Interpretations
for Planning, Agriculture and Recreational purposes; the Use of Soils
Data in Regional and Water Shed Planning; Community and Neighborhood
Development; Zoqing Regulations and Health and Sanitary Regulations.
The Committee will request a copy of this guide for the City's use.
Discussion followed on what the City can do with home builders and
developers to control erosion.
Ron Ford offered his Association's assistance in educating the public
and developers with forums, etc., regarding erosion and sediment
control. He further offered financial assistance toward the installation
of sediment traps.
Ald. Narlock requested that the City Engineer and Building Inspector
study this matter and propose the controls necessary.
Mr. McElwee suggested the possibility of assistance from Mr. Phil Evensen
of SEWRPC.
The request from Building Inspector Lee for an ordinance regarding
flammable liquids was discussed. Ald. Narlock moved to instruct City
• Attorney Buckley to draft a City ordinance covering flammable liquids.
Seconded by Ald. Sapp. Motion carried.
The request from Chief Utpatel of the Tess Corners Fire Dept. for a
Fireworks Ordinance was discussed. Upon checking the Municipal Code
it was noted that the City has already adopted State Statute 167.10.
*Ald. Narlock moved to adjourn. Seconded by Ald. Sapp. Motion carried.
The meeting adjourned at 9:59 P.M.
