• MINUTES OF MEETING HELD NOVEMBER 13, 1969
The meeting was called to order by Chairman Narlock at 8:05 P.M. Also
present were Aldermen Burgermeister and Sapp.
The Minutes of the previous meeting held November 6, 1969, were reviewed
and placed on file.
The Firearms Ordinance was discussed at length. The Committee agreed
to discuss this matter further with the City Attorney and the Police
Department representatives.
Lt. Kass joined the meeting at 8:30 P.M. and City Attorney Buckley
arrived at 8:45 P.M.
After further discussion, Ald. Burgermeister moved to have the variou J
City Attorney review the existing ordinance and prepare various changes,
suggested by this Committee, as a recommendation to the Common Council.
Seconded by Ald. Narlock. Motion carried.
City Attorney Buckley reviewed the proper means of erecting traffic
• signs and signals.
The updating of the Public Water and Beach Ordinance was discussed.
Ald. Burgermeister reminded the Committee of the action following
the Police Department proposal dated June 17, 1969. Lt. Kass and
Attorney Buckley gave the Committee their views regarding this matter.
Discussion followed. The Committee requested that Attorney Buckley
review the State Statutes and the Police Dept. proposal, and after doing
so, draft an amended ordinance adopting the State Boating and Water
Safety Laws for a recommendation to the Common Council.
Ald. Burgermeister moved to adjourn. Seconded by Ald. Sapp. Motion
carried. The meeting adjourned at 10:40 P.M.
