• MINUTES OF MEETING HELD MAY 6, 1968
Chairman Narlock called the meeting to order at 8:30 P.M. Also present
were Mayor Wieselmann, Alderman Burgermeister, Alderman Cooley, Alder-
man Budish, Alderman Wollman, Alderman Linck and Police Chief Kraus.
. The Minutes of the April 18, 1968, meeting were read and approved.
The Schultz Rifle Range was discussed. It was agreed that a letter
be sent to Mr. Howard Schultz informing him of the improvements necessary
to bring his range up to the standard required by the Safety Committee.
Also, that supervision is necessary.
Speed limits of city streets were discussed. Alderman Burgermeister
moved to recommend that the speed limit on Hillendale Drive be 35 mph
from Highway 24 north to Highway "Y" and 40 mph on Hillendale Drive
from Highway 24 south to Henneberry Drive. Seconded by Alderman Linck,
motion carried.
Alderman Burgermeister moved to recommend that an ordinance be drafted
to establish speed limits on Woods Road as recommended in Sgt. Kass's
report. Seconded by Alderman Linck, motion carried.
• Alderman Burgermeister moved to recommend that the speed limit on
Durham Drive be established as recommended in Alderman Budish's report.
Seconded by Alderman Linck, motion carried.
Alderman Burgermeister moved to recommend that the speed limit on
Boxhorn Rd. be established as recommended in Alderman Budish's report.
Seconded by Alderman Linck, motion carried.
Alderman Burgermeister moved to recommend that a speed limit on Ryan
Road be established as recommended in Alderman Budish's report.
Seconded by Chairman Narlock, motion carried.
Ordinance #103, referring to employment of minors,was discussed
and deferred until the next meeting.
Ordinance #99, referring to possession of intoxicating liquors by
minors, and Ordinance #101 relating to residence requirements of
city officers and employees, were discussed. They will be deferred
until a legal opinion can be received.
