• MINUTES OF MEETING HELD-JANUARY 49 1968
The regular meeting of the Rules, Laws & Ordinance Committee was
called to order by Chairman Woliman at 7:45 P.M. Also present
were Alderman Warlock, Alderman .roost and Mayor Gottfried. Alderman
• Lentini and Alderman Warlock, representing the Public Safety Committee,
were present. Building Inspector Lee was also present.
The Minutes of the meeting held on December 21, 19670 Were read and
approved and will be placed on file.
The Electrical Code was discussed. Building Inspector Lee will meet
with City Attorney Hippenmeyer to review the Electrical Code and
the Sign Code to clarify all recommendations of this Committee and
the Safety Committee in order that a proper ordinance can be drawn.
One of the recommendations of this Committee is that six months be
allowed for contractors to acquire their license.
The problem of litter in the City was discussed. This Committee
feels that our present ordinance, if enforced properly, is sufficient
to baudle theproblem,� .�
• The problems caused by snowmobiles were discussed briefly.
A complaint of building a pier on public property era® received. The
complaint will be referred to the City Attorney.
Ordinance #81 was discussed again. Chairman Wollman moved to
recommend that Ordinance #81 be taken from the table. Also, that
Ordinance #81 be amended as follows: Third paragraph, Section I,
to read:
"There is hereby created a special committee of
the Council, composed of the Council President
and two aldermen elected by the Council.
and (b) to read;
"to review applicants with the Mayor and to provide,
to the Mayor, an eligibility list of at leant
three (3) names.
Motion seconded by Alderman Narlock and carried.
• Alderman Soost moved to adjourn. Seconded by Alderman Warlock, motion
carried. The meeting adjourned at 11100 P.M.
