MINUTES OF MEETING HELD ON FEBRUARY 9, 1967
•
The regular meeting of the Rules, Laws & Ordinance Committee was called
to order at 7:40 P.M. by Chairman Weaver. Also present were Alderman
Wollman, Alderman Joost and Mayor Gottfried.
The Minutes of the Rules, Laws & Ordinance Committee meeting held on
January 19, 1967, were read and approved as corrected and will be placed
on file.
A letter received from Mr. Robert 0. Sundby of Municipal Ordinance
Service, dated January 31, 1967, taps read stating that he will be in
our city hall on February 6, 1967, at 9:30 A.M. to start on our
codification. The City Clerk informed us that he was here and has
started his work.
Mrs. Bette Bowyer arrived to discuss the proposed amendment to
Ordinance #55.
Alderman Joost moved to send a letter to Mr. Melvin Wright stating that
Ordinance #38, Icebound Waters, prohibits this type activity, and that
the Rules, Laws & Ordinance Committee felt there was not enough time
to intelligently amend this ordinance to permit this activity at this
• time. The Committee does feel that this could be a desirable activity
and would be willing to discuss it further with interested parties
for future development. Seconded by Chairman Weaver, motion carried.
Chairman Weaver moved to recommend to the Common Council the adoption
of Ordinance #62, An Ordinance Creating a Minimum Housing Code for the
City of Muskego. Seconded by Alderman Wollman, motion carried.
The Subdivision Control Ordinance will be discussed at our next meeting
and a recommendation to the Common Council will be made.
Alderman Wollman moved to adjourn the meeting. Seconded by Alderman
Joost, motion carried. The meeting adjourned at 9:40 P.M.
Respectfully submitted,
Sivier L. Jo , Jr, ec y.
