RLO19660505• RULES, LAWS & ORDINANCE COMMITTEE - CITY OF MUSKEGO MINUTES OF MEETING HELD MAY 5, 1966 The regular meeting of the Rules, Laws & Ordinance Committee was called to order by Chairman Weaver at 7:40 P.M. Present were Chairman Weaver, Alderman Wollman, Alderman Joost and Mayor Gottfried. The minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved Is as read. NEW BUSINESS Ordinance #37 ,. introduced by Alderman Linck. The ordinance resolved the posting of 25 m.p.h. speed limits on certain roads. Alderman Wollman moved that we recommend adoption of Ordinance #37 by the Common Council. Seconded by Alderman Joost and the motion carried. Ordinance #38,introduced by Chairman Weaver. The ordinance resolved the change of the speed limit on Lembezeder Dr, from 40 M.P.H. to 25 M.P.H. Chairman Weaver moved the Committee recommend adoption of Ordinance #38 by the Common Council. Seconded by Alderman Wollman and the motion carried. • Upon recommendation of the Park and Recreation Committee, Alderman Joost introduced Ordinance #39 resolving a 10 m.p.h. speed limit on the access road and parking areas of Horn Field. Alderman Joost moved to recommend adoption of Ordinance #39 by the Common Council. Seconded by Alderman Wollman and the motion carried. Upon recommendation of the Park and Recreation Committee, Alderman Joost introduced Ordinance #40 to amend the stop sign ordinance to include stop signs on access roads leaving Horn Field and Jensen Recreation Center building. Alderman Joost moved that the Committee recommend adoption of Ordinance #40 by the Common Council. Seconded by Ald. Wollman and the motion carried. OLD BUSINESS Copies of the proposed Firearms Ordinance were presented to the Committee for study. A Political Sign Ordinance was discussed and the suggestion will be turned over to the City Attorney for drafting of this ordinance. Resolution #118 regulating dance hall licensing was discussed and a draft of the county ordinance will be turned over to the City Attorney to prepare an ordinance for the City of Muskego. • The Committee will receive copies of a proposed ordinance controlling the razing of buildings for their review. Action was deferred until the next meeting. The Codification Ordinance and transient salesman ordinance will also be taken up at the next meeting.
