RULES, LAWS & ORDINANCE COMMITTEE . CITY OF MUSKEGO
MINUTES OF MEETING HELD ON APRIL 27, 1966
An organizational meeting of the Rules, Laws & Ordinance Committee
was called to order at 7:40 P.M. by Chairman Weaver. Present
were Chairman Weaver, Alderman Wollman, Alderman Joost and Mayor
Gottfried. Alderman Joost was elected Secretary. A general
outline of the operation of the Committee was discussed.
The Firearms Ordinance was discussed as an example of the
problems that arise in drafting ordinances that are fair to all
and still accomplish the desired result.
Discussed briefly were the following:
The Codification Ordinance
The Transit Salesman Ordinance
The Grade Ordinance
The Political Sign Ordinance
The Dance Hall Ordinance
Fees, licenses, performance bonds and restoration bonds were
discussed as being one of our responsibilities. Backgrounds of
the actions taken by the previous committees were also discussed.
As this was a familiarization meeting no action was taken.
Alderman Wollman moved to adjourn the meeting, seconded by
Alderman Joost. The motion carried. Meeting adjourned at 9:00
P.M.
