MINUTES OF MEETING HELD FEBRUARY 17, 1966, AT 7:35 P.M.
Present were Chairman Wolf, Alderman DeAngelis and Alderman
Weaver.
Transient Merchants Ordinance - Attorney Reilly's reply to
Chairman Wolf s query regarding various businesses operating
under what the Committee felt was of a transient merchant
• status - The reply substantiated the Committee's opinion
that a transient merchant's license should be procured
from Joseph Vesbach.
Schedule of Permit Fees - Alderman DeAngelis moved that the
list be sent back to the Safety Committee with the recommend-
ation that it possibly should be referred to the Finance
Committee for their review. Seconded by Alderman Weaver and
the motion carried.
Resolution #118 - Chairman Wolf moved that Resolution #118
be amended to read 4th Paragraph after the word County in
the 4th Line the following should be inserted "and refer
the drafted ordinance to the Rules, Laws & Ordinance
Committee for review." Seconded by Alderman DeAngelis
and the motion carried.
• Firearms Ordinance - Mr. Robert Hoppe and Elsworth Koch joined
the Committee at 8:20 P.M. to assist in the draft of range
specifications of the Firearms Ordinance. "Basement shooting
must be inspected and controlled" was an opinion expressed
by Mr. Hoppe - Mr. Koch expressed an opinion that range
officer should be supervising all range uses - Gun safety
is the primary effort in competitive shooting. Chairman Wolf
will write the National Rifle Association for assistance in
creation of a better ordinance.

Alderman Weaver moved to adjourn, seconded by Alderman De-
Angelis. The meeting adjourned at 9:35 P.M.
