FIRE ARMS ORDINANCE: CHAIRMAN WOLF RECEIVED A REPLY FROM THE MUSKEGO-
NORWAY CONSOLIDATED SCHOOL DIST. OFFICE THAT SPACE WILL BE AVAILABLE
IN THE "ALL PURPOSE ROOM" TO THE COMMITTEE FOR THE PURPOSE OF A PUBLIC
HEARING ON THE PROPOSED FIRE ARMS ORDINANCE ON AUGUST 12TH, 8:00 P.M.
ALDERMAN DEANGELIS SUGGESTED THAT OFFICIAL NOTICE BE POSED ON ALL CITY
BULLETIN BOARDS AND THAT NEWSPAPERS BE CONTACTED TO NOTIFY THE CITIZENS
OF THE HEARING.
AXQ FIRE COMMISSION ORDINANCE: ALDERMAN WOLF COMMENTED ON
SECTION (1) C-3 AND (G) UNDER C-3 NOTING THAT VETERANS HAD PREFERENCE;
HOWEVER, IT WAS SUBSEQUENTLY DETERMINED THAT THIS IS MANDITORY
ACCORDING TO STATE STATUTES UNDER (G) WHY NOT PARTLY PAID - PARTLY
VOLUNTEER? THIS PARAGRAPH FOR FUTURE DETERMINATION HAS FURTHER STUDY,
ETC.
CORRESPONDENCES:
CONSTABLE BOHLMAN REQUESTED CERTAIN PERTINENT INFORMATION ON
PROPOSED FIRE ARMS ORDINANCE.
CITY CLERK BETTE BOWYER: COMMUNICATION STATED THE CLERK'S OFFICE
FOUND THE RECOMMENDATION REGARDING WARD LOCATIONS (VOTING) MOST
SATISFACTORY AND WOULD PROCEED TO INFORM THE CITIZENS OF SAME AFTER
THE PROPER ORDINANCE IS CREATED. COMMITTEE FEELS AN ORDINANCE CAN
BE DRAFTED AFTER PERMISSION CAN BE OBTAINED FROM THE SCHOOLS
INVOLVED AND THE TESS CORNERS FIRE DEPT.
COUNTY BOARD REORGANIZATION COMMITTEE: COMMITTEE HAS NO REPLY FOR
THIS COMMITTEE BECAUSE IT FEELS THE STIPULATED DIVISION FOR TWO(2)
SUPERVISORS FOR MUSKEGO IS ACCEPTABLE.
THE NE%T ORDER OF BUSINESS WAS A GENERAL DISCUSSION ON ALTERNATING
wLDERMATIC TERMS. NO DEFINITE CONCLUSIONS DETERMINED.
