The meeting was called to order at 7:00 P.M. by Acting Chairman
Dumke. Also in attendance were Committee Member Sanders, Mayor
Salentine, Sewer Treatment Plant Operator Kolskowski, Richard
Zach, Al Mackey, Mr. Feest and Frank Narlock. Ald. Penovich was
absent.
The Wentland Drive sewer extension proposal was discussed with
Mr. Feest and Mr. Mackey. They both indicated that they were
receptive to the city's proposal. The Committee directed the
City Engineer to review the feasibility of the Wentland Drive
extension.
Mr. Richard Zach appeared before the Committee to present a
proposal for sewer extension to six lots between Hillendale and
Gold Drive. The Committee directed the City Engineers to review
the extension of sewers for Tans Drive. The Engineers' report
will be reviewed at the May 29, 1986 sewer meeting.
Mr. Frank Narlock appeared before the Committee to request sewer
service to Phase II of the Lakeview Hills Subdivision, which
would involve 11 lots to the West of Hillendale Drive and 28 lots
to the East of Hillendale. The Plan Commission has recently
approved the sketch for an 11 lot division and had approved the
request for the 28 lot division based on a previously approved
• sketch submitted in 1979 for the land West of Hillendale. The
Committee directed the City Engineer to review the feasibility of
the Hillendale extension.
The Committee reviewed Building Inspector response which was
requested at the March meeting regarding an inspection of the
property on Bristlecone in order to determine whether it is a
single residence or a Mother-in-law unit. The report stated that
an inspection was made on 3/31/86 which revealed that the second
unit physically exists. There is a kitchen sink and a complete
second unit. The Committee determined that an additional sewer
service charge will be kept in effect on the Mother -in -Law unit
until the Zoning Officer determines that the Mother -in -Law unit
no longer exists.
Correspondence approving the Boszhardt Lane sewer extension from
MMSD was reviewed by the Committee and placed on file, along with
a letter that was sent to the property owners from the City
Clerk.
The Committee discussed the previous sewer service request of Mr.
Tom Carter for two properties on McShane Drive. Mr. Carter is
awaiting approval of a dual lateral connection from the State.
The Committee requests that Mr. Carter be contacted to appear at
the May 29, 1986 Sewer Meeting. The Committee determined that if
• the variance can be obtained from the State to provide a lateral
to serve the two properties, the request will be granted subject
to all costs that the City has incurred, plus the installation
cost, become the property owner's responsibility.
