PSEM19860116PUBLIC SEWER COMMITTEE - CITY OF MUSKEGO
MINUTES OF MEETING HELD JANUARY 16, 1986
is The meeting was called to order at 7:05 by Chairman Penovich. Also
present were Committee Members Dumke and Taube, Mayor Salentine,
Plumbing Inspector Wayne Jensen and Ald. DeAngelis.
Ald. DeAngelis discussed Mr. Frelka's objection to being assessed for
sewer that is not available due to Super Excavators running late in
completion of the Ladwig Drive Sewer Project. There was a confusion
as to whether Mr. Frekla was referring to payment of the front foot
assessment or sewer usage. The Committee suggested that Mr. Frelka
be contacted to review special charges levied on his tax bill.
Plumbing Inspector Jensen appeared before the Committee to give the
Plumbing Inspection Department's views on the Eugene Sobek lateral
connection. It was explained that the request of a State Inspector
to view the problem was done because any variance allowed, which
would lessen the burden of complying with the State Plumbing Code,
would require a State Inspector's approval. Ald. Dumke will contact
Mr. Sobek.
Ald. Penovich moved to approve the proposed amendments to the Sewer
Service area to include the Muskego Lakes Country Club development,
as prepared by SEWRPC, and redefine the 2005 growth areas. Seconded
by Ald. Dumke, motion carried.
• The Committee reviewed the Sewer Utility's fixed asset values and
determined they all should be insured.

Clerk regarding the sewer capacity available in the Lake Denoon area
and placed on file.
Ald. Dumke moved to direct the City Attorney to draft a resolution
crediting future Reserve Capacity Assessments against outstanding
controlled access deferred assessments for the Schaeffer property on
Racine Avenue. Seconded by Ald. Taube, motion carried.
The Committee reviewed the billing procedure for the Sewer Utility as
to possibly changing the start of billing from the lateral connection
date to the occupancy date. Ald. Dumke moved to stay with the
existing billing procedure. Seconded by Ald. Penovich, motion
carried.
The Sewer Treatment Operator's report was read and placed on file.
Ald. Dumke moved to rebuild and replace enclosures for four alarms at
the four pump stations at a cost of $7,200. Seconded by Ald.
Penovich, motion carried.
