MINUTES OF MEETING HELD DECEMBER 12, 1985
The meeting was called to order at 7 12 P.M. by Chairman
Penovich. Also present were Committee Member Taube, Aid.
DeAngelis, Mayor Salentine and those per the attached list.
Aid. Dumke was absent.
Mr. Klimt appeared before the Committee requesting a riser
reimbursement on a lot purchased in Guernsey Meadows. Aid. Taube
moved to deny the request since sewers dedicated in the
subdivision were provided by the Developer. Seconded by Aid.
Penovich, motion carried.
Mr. & Mrs. Weltzin, 6636 W. Fairview Avenue, Apt. #1, Milwaukee,
WI 53213, appeared before the Committee to object to the sewer
usage charge being billed on the day of lateral connection rather
than date of occupancy. Ordinance #505, Sewer Utility, along
with a copy of the MMSD regulations affecting commencement was
read and the Committee deferred action requesting the billing
procedure be presented at the next meeting.
The Mayor reported that the Lowell Place sewer service to
Corporate Central is on hold because sewer service with Hales
Corners is being explored.
The Committee reviewed the request for time extension for sludge
removal for Schneider Excavating and denied the request because
• the contract has a viable deadline date.
The Mayor gave a status of Northwest Sewer Plant Restoration and
reported that Dorothy Vesbach, the owner of the property, was
contacted and will be meeting with the City to discuss
restoration.
Aid. Penovich moved to deny the request for time extension for
Ladwig Drive Sanitary Sewer Project MSS-2-84 (Super Excavating)
as he felt the contractor was aware of the deadline date.
Seconded by Aid. Taube, motion carried.
Aid. Taube moved to approve the request received from Villa de
Rio for sewer service. Seconded by Aid. Penovich, motion
carried.
The Committee reviewed communications that updated the status of
connection notices on the Woods Road Sewer service. It was noted
that December 15, 1985 was the deadline for connection and the
following properties are in violation:

• The Committee directed that the ordinance be followed where a
letter is sent indicating that each property owner has ten (10)
days to connect and a standby charge is to be implemented. If
these properties are not connected by the next meeting date, they
will be considered for forced hook-up.

Mr. Budish asked for a reduced front foot assessment due to
wetlands on both sides of the creek. Ald. Penovich requested the
Zoning Officer review the density for the tavern and two
apartments located on the property. If the density is such that
land divisions can not be made, that portion of the ordinance and
information is to be sent to Mr. Budish.
The Sewer Treatment Plant Operator's report was read and placed
on file. Correspondence from the City Engineer's regarding the
exhaust louver noise on Woods Road was discussed and the
following quotes for a baffle to help reduce the noise
transmitted out of that louver were reviewed:

Ald. Penovich moved to recommend quote of Dependable Heating &
Sheet Metal, Inc. for $1,065.00 to furnish and install the louver
enclosure. Seconded by Ald. Taube, motion carried.
