MINUTES OF MEETING HELD FEBRUARY 14, 1985
The meeting was called to order by Chairman Gaetzke at
7:01 P.M. Also present were Committee Members DeAngelis and
Penovich, Mr. Robert Klenz, Mr. Harry Udvare, Ald. Tomczyk, Mayor
Salentine and those persons per the attached list.
The Commitee discussed Ladwig Drive Sewer Project -Sandy Beach
Lane with Mr. Robert Klenz. Mr. Klenz discussed the pending 75
foot assessment on a lot he owns. Mr. Klenz was under the
impression that without a sewer main extended which would abut
the 75 foot lot, there would be a duplicate expense when the
property owner would extend a main in the future. The Committee
determined that the present Assessment Policy will be followed.
The Committee discussed the dumping charges for outside holding
and septic tank haulers. Ald. Gaetzke stated that there were no
new figures to discuss. The charge for outside haulers would be
increased to $3.06 per 1,000 gallons under the current plan.
Ald. DeAngelis moved to approve the charge of $3.06 per 1,000
gallons until we obtain more information. Seconded by Ald.
Penovich, motion carried.
The Committee discussed report on meeting with Building Inspector
Lee regarding homes not yet connected. Ald. Gaetzke reported
that Jerry Lee will meet with each owner separately and discuss
• what will have to be done to get connected or be brought up to
Code.
The Committee discussed fee for homes not winterized for
permanent habitation. The Committee decided that consideration
might be given for reduction of rates after Building Inspector
obtains more information. This will be discussed at a future
meeting.
The Committee discussed Feasibility Study regarding possible
sewer extensions on Ann Drive, WoodsRd (Durham to Mystic),
Bellview and Hillendale. Mayor Salentine will contact the City
of Franklin to see if Hi View Subdivision could hook up to
Franklin Sewer District. As to other extensions, the Committee
decided to discuss at next meeting to determine priority list.
The report of the Sewer Treatment Operator was given.
The Committee discussed Bay Lane & Kurtze Lane Sewer Project and
request an update on project and estimate date of hook up.
The Committee discussed D. F. Tomasini bill relating to
installation of new holding tank at 7964 Bay Lane Place due to
cracking and deterioation. A bill in the amount of $1,610.55 was
submitted by D. F. Tomasini for additional costs. Ald. Gaetzke
4e moved to deny payment of bill for $1,610.55. Seconded by Ald.
Penovich, motion carried.

• The Committee discussed rate structure to take effect in the
calendar year 1986 for dwelling served under different ownership
with a common lateral. Ald. Gaetzke moved to have multiple units
not under single Ownership, served by single lateral, to pay
Sewer Usage Fee as a single residence. Seconded by Ald.
DeAngelis, motion carried.
The Committee discussed current status of certification of
meters. Certifications acknowledged are Peerless Gear and Danish
American.
The minutes of previous meeting were reviewed.
Ald. DeAngelis moved to adjourn at 9:50 P.M. Seconded by Ald.
Penovich, motion carried.
