PSEM19841011PUBLIC SEWER COMMITTEE - CITY OF MUSKEGO . MINUTES OF MEETING HELD OCTOBER 11, 1984 The meeting was called to order by Chairman Eugene Gaetzke at 7:00 P.M. Also present were Committee Members DeAngelis and Penovich, Mayor Salentine, Bldg. Inspector Lee and those persons per the attached list. The Committee discussed adjustment request with representative, Mr. Peter Laundre, from St. Leonard Parish. Mr. Laundre stated they have paid $1,332.00 in Sewer Usage Fees for the convent, which was never hooked up. The Committee will direct the Sewer Utility Clerk to check on the figure ($1,332.00) to see if it is correct. Ald. Gaetzke moved to credit one-half of the total toward the initial construction fee of $500.00 and to waive necessary plumbing permit fee; applying the balance to their RCA payment. Seconded by Ald. DeAngelis, motion carried. The Committee discussed the Ladwig Drive Sewer Project. The plans are currently in the hands of the DNR. Ald. Gaetzke moved to instruct the City Engineers to go ahead with bidding process as soon as DNR approves plans and to obtain the necessary easements. Seconded by Ald. DeAngelis, motion carried. The Committee discussed placement of poles on Woods Road for Ladwig Drive Sewer Project. Ald. Gaetzke moved to instruct City Engineers to proceed with most economical way to replace poles at • cost not to exceed $16,974.79. Seconded by Ald. DeAngelis, motion carried. The Committee discussed request for assessment exemption -Bay Lane Place with Frank Switala. Ald. Gaetzke told Mr. Switala that Rules, Laws & Ordinance Committee will review changing the Municipal Code in regard to lot status between relatives, i.e., father and son. Ald. Gaetzke moved to defer. Seconded by Aid. DeAngelis, motion carried. The Committee discussed update on Lilach well. Ald. DeAngelis reported that Ruekert & Mielke have contacted the contractor and informed him that he would have to provide a new private water supply. The Committee will follow up at next month meeting. The Committee discussed update of Boszhardt Lane Agreement. Mrs. Lindhorst has stated that she would like permission to park incorporated into the agreement. Ald. Gaetzke will contact Mr. Lemke to find out his feelings on this matter. The Committee discussed sewer assessment on Woods Road with Mr. John Budish. Mr. Budish stated that he felt his assessment was too high and should be reduced because of the unusual location of the building in relation to the footage involved which abuts the sewer. The Zoning Officer indicated that the Zoning Code would • not allow a future division of this lot. The Committee will discuss this concern at the next sewer meeting. Mr. Budish will be notified as to time and date of next meeting. Public Sewer Committee - Page 2 October 11, 1984 • The Committee discussed request for sewer service-V.F.W. Ald. Gaetzke read correspondence from VFW stating that the VFW had voted in favor of sewer service when available. The Committee stated that VFW would certainly be taken into consideration in the future when and if sewers were available in this area. The Committee discussed SEWRPC report on Flintlock Trail. Ald. Gaetzke reviewed letter from SEWRPC to Building Inspector Lee. Ald. Gaetzke and the Committee stated that SEWRPC report dated September 19, 1984, should be placed on file with the Building Inspector and that restrictions stated in letter should be adhered to when land is to be developed. The Committee discussed sewer inspector and benefits that he receives. Mr. Bud Heinz stated his concerns in regards to these matters and requested that he be considered for a raise. The Committee will discuss at a future date. The Committee reviewed Sewer Utility Budget for 1985. Ald. Gaetzke moved to recommend approval of Sewer Utility Budget in the amount of $230,350. and Debt Service in the amount of $1,726,037. Seconded by Ald. DeAngelis, motion carried. The Committee reviewed report of Sewer Treatment Operator. • The Committee reviewed minutes of previous meeting. The Committee reviewed Resolution #26-84 - Acceptance of Bid for Sewer Utility Vehicle. TID Districts 1 thru 7 are responsible for debt.
