PSEM19840426PUBLIC SEWER COMMITTEE - CITY OF MUSKEGO MINUTES OF MEETING HELD APRIL 26, 1984 The meeting was called to order by Chairman Eugene Gaetzke at 7:00 P.M. Also present were Committee Members DeAngelis and Penovich, Jim Kibbe, Stan Potrykus and Mayor Salentine. The Committee discussed request of Stan Potrykus in regard to Holiday Acres Subdivision. Mr. Potrykus asked the committee's feelings on the proposed subdivision and lift station required. The Committee decided that they would be receptive to this subdivision and lift station, with the stipulation that no connections would be made until Muskego is hooked up to Milwaukee Metro System. The Committee reviewed the minutes of the previous meeting in regard to Ladwig Drive. The cost of sewering this area would be $420,000 for forced and $471,000 for gravity according to a cost estimate from Ruekert & Mielke. A cost of $60,000 was estimated from Woods Roads east from Ladwig to Mystic, $10,000 for Gravity Sewer to the Chmiel property (extra two feet). Sewer to Schaumberg property at a cost of $45,000. The engineers are recommending gravity flow. Ald. Penovich moved to end the sewer at Schaumberg's property and to go with the gravity sewer. Ald. • DeAngelis seconded and the motion carried. The minutes of the previous meeting were reviewed. • The sewer treatment operator gave his report. The Committee discussed progress of FLOW coalition. Flow is again requesting additional funding from its members ($21,000 each). Ald. DeAngelis moved to defer until we get more information. Ald. Gaetzke seconded and the motion carried. The Committee discussed RCA letter and notice. The Committee reviewed Ordinance #480 on outhouses. The Committee has requested that Building Inspector Gerald Lee review the ordinance and take any necessary action. The Committee directed the City Clerk to answer the request of FLOW for description of the method that the charges received from MMSD are billed to the community.
