PSEM19840329• PUBLIC SEWER COMMITTEE - CITY OF MUSKEGO MINUTES OF MEETING HELD MARCH 29, 1984 The meeting was called to order by Acting Chairman Gaetzke at 7:00 P.M. Also present were Committee Member DeAngelis and Mayor Salentine and those persons per the attached list. Ald. Nilsson was absent. Mayor Salentine introduced Peggy Farrow, Chairperson of the FLOW Coalition and Bill Mielke, FLOW's engineer for a presentation on how the equalized valuation concept of MMSD would monetarily affect the City of Muskego as compared with the FLOW concept, with audience participation following. Mr. Scott Krause appeared in regard to a holding tank request for Country Club Oaks. After discussion with Seegar Swanson, Bill Mielke and Jerry Lee, the Subdivider's Agreement was referred to City Attorney Molter for review. Ald. Gaetzke moved to recommend approval of amendment to EPA Grant No. C550810-03 in the amount of $5508.25 for the installation of an extra manhole at Lannon Drive and Woods Road for the final connection of existing sewer to interceptor. Seconded by Ald. DeAngelis, motion carried. • Ald. Gaetzke moved to recommend approval of Change Order No. 2 for Contract 6-83, authorizing contractor to excavate an additional 1 ft. below subgrade material and replace this material with stone at the Sandy Beach Lift Station, with a total cost of $3,040 with City's portion being $760.00. Seconded by Ald. DeAngelis, motion carried. The Committee discussed the Ladwig Drive sewer project. Mr. Chmiel was present regarding his 55 acre parcel off Woods Road near Ladwig Drive. Mr. Mielke explained the alternatives for development which could be considered - a lift station emptying into the sewer on Woods Road, or the manhole close to Mystic Dr. Mr. Mielke presented a plan of the Ladwig Drive area to be sewered. The Committee agreed with the sewer service area as presented, and directed the engineers to continue to prepare the Ladwig Drive Sewer Project plans, and to include the property on Woods Road from Ladwig Drive east to service the Schaumberg dwelling. The Committee reviewed sewer usage charges, reserve capacity assessment and connection fees. Ald. Gaetzke moved to recommend that the reserve capacity assessment on new construction be effective July 1, 1984. Seconded by Ald. Gaetzke moved to recommend reconsideration of the REC chart attached to Reso. #47-84 in order to amend REC's for Multiple Family (1 bedroom or less) to .75 and Laundromat to .333 per machine.
