PSEM19831215PUBLIC SEWER COMMITTEE MINUTES OF MEETING HELD DECEMBER 15, 1983 The meeting was called to order by Acting Chairman Gaetzke at 7:00 P.M. Also present were Committee Member DeAngelis, Mayor Salentine, Mrs. Oschmann and Dean Oschmann. Chairman Nilsson was absent. The Committee discussed a memo received from Building Inspector Gerald P. Lee regarding the Demshar forced hook-up. Mr. Lee reported that the hook-up is in progress, but not yet completed. There is indication of cooperation by Mr. Tony Demshar. The Committee discussed the Linnie Lac agreement. It was stated that the agreement is still in the hands of the New Berlin officials and we have received no response from them. The Committee discussed the Ladwig Drive Sewer Project. Mrs. Oschmann is receptive to sewers to her 20 acres on the lake and Mr. Dean Oschmann of Ladwig Drive also requests sewers. The Committee reviewed the minutes of the previous meeting. The Committee discussed the purchase of a replacement vehicle for the Sewer utility. Ald. DeAngelis moved to authorize Supt. Bertram to obtain quotes for an American -built van. Ald. Gaetzke seconded, motion carried. The Committee reviewed Mr. Kibbe's sewer treatment report. The report indicated an increase of flow in Lake Meadows area because of new construction. The Committee discussed sewer usage charges, hook-up or connection fees, and Capital Cost Recovery Assessments. The Sewer Committee recommended approval of a Reserve capacity assessment with an initial resolution to be drafted by the City Attorney and submitted to the Council. The policy will be formulated at a later date. The Committee recommended a meeting be held in January with the Financial Advisor present. The Committee read a copy of a letter from Joe Eberle (Ruekert & Mielke) to Mr. Pape (DNR) to advise that the chemical analysis of the sludge at both city water treatment facilities has been forwarded to the DNR..
